In addition to being Forbes Magazine’s Fastest Growing City, Houston has been receiving a lot of public attention for its remarkable growth rate. In a recent study by New World Health, analysts evaluated the wealth sector on a global scale.
Our very own city of Houston took the No. 1 spot for multi-millionaire population growth over the past ten years. Houston was honored above any other city, including major cities like San Jose or San Francisco. The staggering results reveal that 1,420 millionaires were added to the area in the last decade, which is a growth rate of 63%.
Although the millionaire population is growing in Houston, our average household income is around $42,877 nearly $8,000 below the national average.
