New Year’s Resolution Ideas

With the New Year upon us, it’s time to start reflecting on the year that has passed and looking onward to the future. It’s also time to think of some positive changes that you might want to add into your life. Below we have a few tips and tricks to help you accomplish your resolutions for 2015.

This especially can refer to the “losing weight” resolution. It’s easy to just say it, but try making a specific goal plan to help you achieve weight loss. For instance, make a plan to only eat fast food twice a month and to jog at least twice a week! Realistic, small goals will help keep you motivated.

When it comes to finances, nothing will feel better than clearing out any old debts. Shred your credit card if you or your children’s spending habits are allowing you live above your means. Lay out a savings plan to help you in the future.

Sometimes clutter and stress go hand in hand. By starting small, you can go through your home and organize those drawers that are cluttered or that closet that never seems to stay clean. You can keep, donate, or trash these items. You’ll be surprised how this can lift your demeanor!

In this century, all the technology can reduce family time or personal time. Take the initiative to disconnect from your smartphone, even the emails and texts. Leave the phone off for an hour or so and commit it to quality conversation, family game night, or journaling.
