Firethorne, a project of Jefferson Development, is another master-planned community west of Houston in the Fulshear area, boasting 1,400 acres. Yet again this year, Firethorne is catching attention with its home sale record at 355 homes for the year. With just a handful of days left before the New Year, it is on target to possibly beat the 2013 sale record of 381.
Firethorne opened in 2006, and it has had over two thousand homes built and sold since its premier. Representatives of the master community consider these impressive statistics to be due to the many perks of living there. Firethorne has amenities targeted to families, top-rated public school systems of Katy ISD and Lamar ISD, easy access to Interstate 10, and more. It has 150 acres of parks and recreational amenities, such as a twelve-acre lake and numerous trails.
Many different builders- Ashton Woods Homes, Coventry Homes, Highland Homes, Perry Homes, Plantation Homes, Ravenna Homes and Saratoga Homes- make up the community. Homes sell from the mid $250’s to more than $800,000. Once the building project is complete, Firethorne will have around 3,400 homes.
