NEW Gallery Furniture to Open on Grand Parkway

At the beginning of this month, Jim “Mattress Mack” McIngvale broke ground on the newest location of Gallery Furniture, off of Grand Parkway, south of the Westpark Tollway. This is the largest location yet for the furniture chain, and it will house a 165,000 square foot showroom. Not to mention, this Gallery Furniture will have a playroom that includes a treehouse, as well as a full-service restaurant.

Nicknamed “Gallery Furniture Grand Parkway,” the store will supposedly create 150 new jobs to the Fort Bend County area, and Mattress Mack plans to hire veterans in the community to work there. Not only that, but he wants to use local vendors, both for the furniture inventory and the restaurant. The new location will also allow nearby residents of Brookwood Community, a community for disabled adults, to sell their products in-store.
