Pantone Picks Color of the Year: 2015

Pantone has recently released the color of the year, and it’s Marsala! This wine-inspired deep red color is sure to please.  With Pantone’s extent of influence, you can expect to see marsala in fashion, home décor, housewares and more.

Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Directior of Pantone Color Institute, explains that this color will bring a sense of glamour and depth to the industry. He considers marsala to evoke a sense of stability and confidence, and he says it’s not a risky color choice. Eiseman and his associates envision this color to be an accent on an office wall, a beautiful eye shadow, a decorative pillow, or even the color of a car’s exterior. They view this hue to be one easily incorporated into the home because it pairs very well with existing hues of gray, black, and various neutrals.
