Their internet service is symmetrical (upload and download speeds are the same), and is guaranteed to be fully available to you (it is not dependent on time of day, neighbors’ usage, location in the neighborhood). The TV service is delivered in SD and HD, and is capable of supporting 4K and 8K UHD programming once it is available.
The only up-front cost is a $250 deposit for the equipment that they will put in your home. They indicated that the Deposits will be fully refunded should the project not be completed, or once the equipment is returned should you choose to no longer be a Phonoscope customer.
The cost of installing fiber optics to a home is approximately $3200. However, all install costs are waived as part of their “pre-sale promo”. That is why they need enough customers to make this viable.
They have four packages – three are Internet packages, one is an Internet/TV bundle, and all are customizable based on desired services.
1. PGx1 – 100Mb/s Internet, billed monthly = $249 per month.
As part of the pre-order promo, they are including a phone line and local TV channels (Silver Line-Up), if desired. Any of the add-on TV services can be added as a monthly cost.
2. PGx2 – 1Gb/s Internet + Gold TV Line-Up, billed monthly = $349 per month.
This includes 10x the Internet speed of package 1, plus the $60 Gold TV Line-Up, for only $100 more per month. Any of the add-on TV services can be added as a monthly cost.
3. PGx3 – 1Gb/s Internet, pre-pay for one year = $2388 ($199/month)
As part of the pre-order promo, they are including a phone line and local TV channels (Silver Line-Up), if desired. Any of the add-on TV services can be added as a monthly cost.
4. PGx4 – 1Gb/s Internet, pre-pay for two years = $3576 ($149/month)
