University of Houston, Hopes to Expand in Katy

In recent news, the University of Houston has revealed preliminary plans hoping to construct an extension of its campus in Katy, TX. The $60 million tuition revenue bond was filed in mid-January of this year, and it is just a matter of time before it’s favored to pass.

Pending approval, the 60,000 square foot campus would be able to serve a growing number of college applicants. So far, the site of the potential facility is undisclosed and design blueprints have not yet been drawn up.

Katy was chosen as the next location because the Cinco Ranch and Sugarland campuses have been unable to fully accommodate the massive growth in the Katy area. The future needs of the University of Houston will heavily rely on the approval of the bond.
